Peg Perego Skate FAQs

Q. Is it possible to purchase the Skate directly from Peg Perego?
A. Peg Perego USA Inc. does not sell strollers directly to the consumer. You would have to contact an authorized retailer to purchase a Skate. To do that, please see our Where-to-Buy store locator. A tab for this can be found at the bottom of every page on this website.

Q. What is included in the purchase of a Skate?
A. The Skate frame, the convertible central component (that can be quickly and easily transformed into either a stroller seat or a bassinet for use on or off the frame), a large adjustable hood, an oversized adult cup holder, a zippered rain shield, a matching fitted leg cover, a hand-operated air pump (for use with the rear tires) and two adapters for attaching a Primo Viaggio SIP car seat (not included). To get a more detailed, in-depth answer, please click here for the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 in the USA or Primo Viaggio SIP in CANADA.

Q. In what fabrics/upholsteries/colors is the Skate available?
A. The Skate is available in four collections: Moka, Tango, Bubbles Green and Bubbles Black. (In Canada, the Skate is also available in Bubbles Red.) To see the Skate in its different looks, please see our fabric collection.

A. No, two adapters are included that snap onto the Skate frame, and these adapters will ONLY accommodate the Primo Viaggio SIP car seat and the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 car seat.

Q. Is the handlebar reversible on the Skate?
A. The handlebar is not reversible, but you can quickly and easily reverse the stroller seat so it faces back toward you or forward, toward the world.

Q. Can the Skate be folded with the bassinet/stroller seat on the chassis?
A. Yes, the Skate can be folded with the convertible central component still attached in both stroller and carriage modes.

Q. How much does the basket hold?
A. The basket will hold 12 pounds.

Q. What are the dimensions and weight of the Skate?
A. Please see diagram below.

Q. What is the reason for the difference in weight between the Skate and some other strollers?
A. When comparing strollers, you may notice Skate’s weight is slightly greater than some other models - and with good reason! Because you’ll be enjoying the Skate for a long time (from infant to toddler years…and maybe even with your next child!), we’ve taken extra care to make sure every aspect of Skate is built to last. In achieving this outstanding level of durability, denser components and materials are incorporated, and a full range of features is included. Rest assured that additional weight means even greater sturdiness, enhanced reliability and unparalleled safety throughout. All of these elements ensure that you are purchasing a superior product that will not only stand up to the rigors of everyday use but can even become an heirloom you may pass on to successive family members for generations to come!

Q. Does the Skate come with a warranty? How long is it for?
A. The Skate has a one-year manufacturer’s defect warranty and a warranty of 90 days from the date of purchase on the upholstered items.

Q. Do I need to send in my warranty card?
A. Yes, your warranty card registers your product for warranty. If we would happen to have a recall on your product, we would have your information on record so you would be notified.

Q. What do I do if I have a problem with my product that I cannot solve myself?
A. You can call our customer service department at 1-800-671-1701. Customer service is open Monday through Friday, from 8am to 8:30pm, Eastern time.

Q. Can I leave the harness attached to the loop on the backrest so my child will not move around?
A. No, after fastening the safety belt on your child, you need to detach it from the backrest to allow the child “Freedom of Movement.” For younger children who cannot yet sit up on their own, we recommend you recline the seat. This is much more comfortable and conducive to their growth and development than strapping them in sitting up.

Q. My stroller squeaks when I am pushing it, what can I do to stop it?
A. You can use any brand of silicone spray (do not use WD-40). Spray it along the axles that hold your wheel assemblies on. We recommend you do this every 30 days to keep your wheels well lubricated.

Q. Can I machine-wash my seat liner and other upholstered items?
A. The inner seat liner can be hand-washed with warm water and a mild detergent like Dreft, and then air dried. Do not wring out, iron, dry-clean, tumble-dry or bleach the liner. Even if your machine has a hand-wash cycle, you cannot use it, as it could damage your liner. For your hood, boot and outer seat lining, spot-clean with a damp cloth as needed.
